In 1998, Donald Clifton (1924 — 2003), renowned educational psychologist and former chairman of Gallup, developed the original strengths assessment to study, in his words, “what was right with people versus what’s wrong”. 30 years later, nearly 20 million people have taken the assessment and received unique profiles ranking their strengths by 34 talent themes.
In 2016, Informationart worked with Gallup to create a product and community around Clifton Strengths. The goal was to help people develop what we termed a “strengths literacy” with a new "talent map" data visualization, allowing them to optimize all the roles they play in their lives — as workers, managers, and leaders, as students, parents, and spouses, and as friends.
