Perspecta was a startup company founded by Earl Rennison, Lisa Strausfeld, and Nicolas Saint-Arnaud, all MIT Media Lab classmates.
The first product, called PerspectaView, dynamically organized a collection of tagged news articles and presented them as a zooming 2.5D space of clustered topics. The viewer could drill deeper into each topic, revealing sub-topics and, finally, the related news articles themselves. Perspecta was acquired by Excite @home in 2000.
